Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Planning/Reliability General Foreman, the Electrical Maintenance Planner is responsible for liaising between Engineering, Operations and Maintenance groups to ensure the maximum use of Maintenance resources while minimizing interruptions to Operations and Production. This position will be 14/14.

Responsibilities:
The planner ensures that all internal beneficiaries of Maintenance receive timely, efficient and quality service.
Develops detailed planned jobs including determination of labour resources needed and downtime required, parts and equipment required to complete both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Formulate and develop long term plans, coordinating with mine dept, UG projects and fixed plant maintenance for shutdowns.
Ensures all regulatory inspections are scheduled to maintain compliance.
Manages the backlog to ensure that work is moving through the planning/scheduling/execution process in a timely, logical and safe manner
Acts as an effective liaison with other departments such as Materials Management and Mill & Mine Operations, to ensure compliance with the requirements regulatory and preventive maintenance.
Provide a central source of information concerning maintenance work, equipment, equipment repair special tool and equipment requirements. Manages the records, documentation and work history for the department.
Contribute to the development of the annual maintenance operating budget. Monitors and controls costs within the budgetary guidelines. Assist in timely preparation of AFE justifications in compliance with the needs of the department and the approved capital budget.
Develop Weekly schedules for the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to execute as agreed upon during the weekly planning/scheduling meeting.

Qualifications:

Trade certificate in Electrical, Instrumentation and/or;
Post-Secondary education in electrical engineering, automation, etc.
Relevant experience in Mining, U/G Mining, processing facilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, CMMS (4Site, SAP, etc)
Knowledge of Maintenance & Reliability terminology and processes.
Effective communication skills (written, oral, listening)
Previous planner experience an asset
Previous project management experience an asset
A high-level of organizational skills, confidence, and decision-making abilities
Ability to perform in a self-directed, fast paced, team environment
A thorough understanding of Maintenance management
