An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Laboratory Robotics Engineer to join our Process Engineering and Metallurgy, Sampling and Measurement Assets team based in Perth. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for robotic and automated equipment dedicated to the sampling and analysis of iron ore.

This unique role is a great opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic mechatronics or robotics engineer to play a key role in the development of maintenance strategies and tactics for automated sampling and analysis assets whilst providing technical expertise to support capital and innovation projects.

Reporting to the Principal Process Engineering and Metallurgy, Sampling and Measurement Assets, you will:
  • Utilise equipment performance to develop maintenance strategies and tactics for automated sampling, measurement and laboratory assets
  • Develop reliability and cost improvement programs for automated sampling and analysis assets
  • Provide design review and technical assurance expertise to studies, sustaining capital and growth and innovation project teams
  • Support the deployment of maintenance tactics and changes across site

What you'll bring
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics
  • Automation and large industrial robotics experience
  • Knowledge of cost, efficiency, and productivity optimisation methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Understanding of robotic system movement design and implementation techniques
  • Current 'C' Class drivers' licence
