Our client, an established gold producer based in Ontario is looking for a Procurement Manager for one of their mines in Northern Ontario. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to assume responsibility for the Management and oversight of all aspects of procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics for an industry-leading operator.

Working hand in hand with site finance, mining, maintenance, and mill operations staff, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for purchasing and procurement policies and procedures, financial management, vendor relations, service delivery, and team management and development, all while developing. and manage sourcing strategies to reduce risks, exposures and total cost of ownership to the purchasing and warehouse functions.

Qualifications:

• Experience leading a purchasing or procurement department Experience in the mining or industrial environment.
• Experience working with ERP or related systems is a must; preferably SAP.
• A strong understanding of logistics and ability to focus on continuous improvements.
• Ability to manage a diverse multi-location team.
