About this role

What will you be responsible for?
Under limited direct supervision, prepare cash flow and other financial information for SEC (Security Exchange Commission) filings, including working with various regional and corporate departments to ensure useful, accurate and timely analysis.

Your role will consist of

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
  • We collaborate in the preparation, completion, improvement and filing of SEC documents including 10K, 10Q, and Proxy.
  • We are responsible for preparation of financial statement footnotes, MD&A and other disclosures in the Company's public filing documents.
  • We are responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and improvements of monthly and quarterly cash flow reporting.
  • We facilitate efforts for continuous improvement of our financial reporting process through comparisons of recent competitor filings and SEC comment letters.
  • We provide assistance in reviews of statutory financial documents prepared by Regional Finance Groups and various other corporate external reporting responsibilities.
  • We assist in completion of external audit quarterly and annual procedures as vital.
  • We assist with Investor Relations in the preparation and review of financial information that is publicly available (earnings releases, presentations, scripts, etc.) and prepare ad hoc financial analysis for other organizations within the Company as needed.
  • We perform special projects "overflow" work and assist with analysis of business transactions as required.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Here is what we would need to see from you!
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 4+ years of combined public accounting and industry experience, working primarily with a publicly-traded companies.
  • Big 4 accounting experience preferred and CPA required.
  • Experience with Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) and SAP suite of products is preferred.
  • Highly proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on work required.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and coordinate effectively in a high pressure environment.
  • Must possess ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle several tasks concurrently.
  • Team work oriented and work efficiently within limited time requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are desired.
  • High level of motivation, requiring minimal direction/supervision, and outspoken diplomacy vital.


Working conditions and location

  • The position is located in the Denver corporate office.
  • Position may be required to travel to, and assist other domestic and international sites.


The salary range offered for this role is $ 75,680 to 99,330 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
