Reporting to the COVID-19 Response Team Lead, the COVID-19 Health and Safety Administrator will work as part of the COVID-19 screening team to provide administration support for the sample collection, coordination of screening clinics, processing of rapid COVID-19 tests, and reporting of test results as part of the ongoing commitment to Everyone Going Home Safe and Healthy Every Day.

This is a temporary position dedicated to being a resource for COVID-19 pandemic response. The schedule will involve a four on, four off rotation of twelve-hour dayshifts. This is a 3-6 month temporary contract.

To be successful we are looking for someone with superior communication and interpersonal skills, who can work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision. Someone who is organized, has exceptional attention to detail, and can work with integrity to professionally manage confidential material.

Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Participate in COVID-19 rapid antigen screening training
  • Administrate Health and Safety Policies and Procedures for Teck Coal
  • Manage document control of Health and Safety programs and databases
  • Complete patient registration for the COVID-19 rapid antigen screening program
  • Processing and analysis of COVID-19 rapid tests as part of a COVID-19 rapid antigen screening program
  • Educating workers on public health requirements
  • Fulfill reporting requirements on COVID-19 to public health and other required stakeholders
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate the information and screening requirements with external service providers
  • Support the contact tracing process


Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, with previous office administration experience
  • Exhibit advanced computer application skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite®: Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint are required
  • Strong typing and data entry skills are required
  • Experience in a Medical or Health field an asset
  • Experience writing reports is an asset
