Database Geologist
Work Location: Fortescue Centre, East Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday
The Resource Estimation team is seeking two Database Geologists to join the Resource Estimation Data Management Team. Reporting to the Database Manger & the Project Database Specialist these positions will be responsible for Database Administration/Management at the Operating Mine Sites.

Database Geologist

- Database Administration, including data validation and QA/QC processes;
- Write and maintain stored procedures;
- Maintain existing acQuire databases, SQL, acQuire GIM Suite;
- Organise and deliver training;
- Develop and write technical documentation and procedures;
- Establish good relationship with key stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Tertiary qualification in computer science or geoscience;
- Geology data knowledge advantageous;
- Knowledge of acQuire, database models, SQL programming, SSIS, ETL tools essential;
- C#, Python, R & R Studio advantageous;
- Good communication skills to maintain and document processes involved and liaise with exploration and IT departments;
- The ability to perform independently and complete work within a tight schedule;
- Exposure to automating data capture, validation and data import/export;
- Broad knowledge of data and cloud capabilities across different platforms advantageous;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
