Mechanical Project Engineer

Work Location: Port Hedland

Roster: 4D/3R - FIFO ex Perth or Residential

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to work at our Port Facility for the Engineering Projects Department. This position will require an experienced engineer with a history in mining and fixed plant infrastructure experience.

This position will report to the Port Engineering Projects Supervisor.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Delivery of large capital projects for the Port project team.
  • Leading large projects from inception through design, contractor engagement, execution and commissioning.
  • Being a safety leader and engage with personnel to drive a Zero Harm culture.
  • Becoming a leader in FMG Asset Management Processes.
  • Monitoring Asset Management KPI's, identify gaps in performance and recommend actions to resolve.

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • 10+ years heavy industry experience preferably in Fixed Plant Mining Environments.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical trade
  • 5+ years' experience leading Engineering Projects
