About Role

We are looking for Senior Advisor Payroll Accounting for supporting and leading a team of Advisors that specialize in the re conciliation of global ledger accounts. The Senior Advisor coordinates resources and applies their knowledge of payroll processes and systems to ensure that the payroll accounting service delivery team accurately executes their operational objectives on time and in alignment with governance principles while overseeing quality assurance.

The Senior Advisor role will be responsible for leading an onshore team of accounting Advisors. The accounting advisors interact with an offshore partner to achieve Service delivery targets and to drive performance outcomes of the offshore partner. The senior adviser will coordinate the activities performed by the advisers and lead escalations with the offshore partner to establish a cohesive relationship and to deliver on service expectations. The position holder will be responsible for operational performance reporting through to the manager. The senior adviser will create networks both locally and globally with finance and employee services stakeholders and management. Business operations occur across multiple countries and the senior adviser will be required to connect with specialists in each region to learn processes and reconciliation requirements. Payroll ledger reconciliations require a high degree of analytics and problem solving. The senior adviser will be required to assist the onshore & offshore teams to design and implement best practice processes to achieve the desired ledger reconciliation outcomes. The senior adviser will act as a point of escalation for process roadblocks and will be required to interact with various cross-functional stakeholders to achieve solutions. The adviser will utilise their knowledge of best practice to identify, plan and lead process improvement projects to increase operating efficiency and accuracy.

The successful candidate will have existing frontline leadership experience in finance teams. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of best practice accounting processes for global payrolls (e.g. provisions, receivables, liability clearing). The candidate will have strong management report writing capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience interacting with stakeholders and colleagues remotely (e.g. telephone conferences). The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and will be able to articulate scenarios where they have acted as a point of escalation for problem solving. Project management experience is essential. We are looking for a motivated individual who is capable of leading others to achieve high performance results and someone who is capable of producing effective management reports to evidence that operational performance meets service level expectations.

Reporting line: Manager Payroll Accounting

Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:

· Lead offshore payroll accounting team by performing core accounting leadership tasks such as; Journal reviews and balance sheet reconciliation reviews

· Engage remotely with, and lead an offshore delivery team by monitoring operational performance and results

· Ensure that operations comply with data governance and quality control principles

· Assisting with internal & external audits of payroll reconciliations and processes

· Supporting the service delivery team achieve continuous improvement of processes

· Ability to manage time independently as part of a global workforce

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

· Tertiary accounting qualification (e.g. Diploma, Bachelors degree) or higher education (CPA, CA, Masters degree)

· Payroll experience or accounting for payroll experience

· Accounting team lead experience (e.g. Coordinating resources, reviewing journals and balance sheet reconciliations , establishing control frameworks)

· Experience working in a global team or working remotely with global stakeholders

· SAP experience

· Payroll or accounting for payroll experience
