Group Mineral Resource Geologist

A cashed up and ambitious operator is currently looking to further expand their portfolio by adding a Group Mineral Resource Geologist to their team. As the most senior individual of the geology team in this region you will be responsible for geological models, resource and reserve estimates and preparation of technical reports for various complex projects throughout the region.

Please note - This is a leadership or management level that will give very heavy preference to someone that will relocate to the HQ city with family. A FIFO role could be offered but this will mostly likely only look after a single site. 

As the Group Mineral Resource Geologist you will be responsible for;

• Performing geological and mineral resource/reserves reviews audits and due diligence assessments to maximize value Oversee mineral resource & grade control models making sure they are optimally estimated, according to required international codes.
• Management of multiple operating open pits
• Management and delivery of mine plan
• Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Reporting with full mine to mill reconciliations
• Management of Geology Team
• Corporate governance and compliance
• Mineral resources and reconciliation sign off
• Mineral Resources department cost & budget management providing updates on actuals and forecast
• Key representative for safety, ISO 14001
• Strong open pit hard rock experience at an operating mine 
• Contract management (drilling, mining, employment etc)
• Ensuring compliance of resource estimates with international professional standards and government regulations for public disclosures by working with the wider geology team.
