Description

Performs analysis and reporting of financial and/or operational costs/benefits associated with a variety of Human Resources functions such as recruiting, headcount, benefits, compensation, training and development. Identifies Human Resources related business trends which have potential to impact the company.

  • Utilizes technology and analytical tools to analyze and report on HR, financial, and operational metrics and communicates results timely and effectively to varying levels of management
  • Provides reporting support to all functions
  • Conducts data gathering and needs assessments on an ongoing basis to provide quantitative analysis that produces actionable insights for the business; provides timely updates to reports in support of organizational initiatives
  • Provides ad hoc reports and analyses upon request and communicates findings to appropriate stakeholders
  • Partners with HR Information Systems (HRIS) to create and maintain data which ensures integrity and consistency of reporting
  • Identifies and evaluates alternative solutions to defined problems and recommends appropriate courses of action
  • Plans and schedules project work load according to priorities
  • Performs other duties as required


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Math or closely related discipline and two (2) years of experience with Business Metrics/Performance Analysis
  • Able to define report requirements
  • Strong organization, time and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities required
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in problem-analysis and problem-solving tools and techniques
  • Expert-level skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources processes and Employee Benefits reporting
  • Experience writing queries and manipulating data in a data warehouse environment
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in collaboration, communication and influencing


Criteria/Conditions

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator and internal staircase
  • Occasionally work may be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
  • Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
