The Role: Development Electrical Engineer (Narrabri, NSW)
The Development Electrical Engineer provides leadership in managing all Development electrical activities .
To be successful in the role you will:
- Planning and distribution of the scheduled electrical work orders for the week
- Investigating the cause of any negative variance to plans on a shiftily basis.
- Responsible for the accuracy and suitability of the electrical maintenance schedule for Development and the annual maintenance schedule must include preventative maintenance and life cycle management tasks
- Ensure an adequate electrical spares / tooling are available for the Development process
- Develop, implement and manage projects and the budgets as required
- Provide assistance to underground personnel in equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting or technical support
- Actively pursue improvements in equipment reliability and equipment upgrades
- Design improvement initiatives prior to the start of each new production district
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework, with Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent
- Degree certificate in Electrical Engineering as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework, or equivalent.
- Experience in the underground coal mining industry
- Exposure to;
- Heavy industry
- Understanding of legislation, MDG's and standards
- Management of employees, contractors and OEM's
- Project management
- Full time, permanent position.
