About the role

We are looking for Drill Operators to join our Gudai-Darri team to ensure targets and optimum productivity is achieved. These roles are a great opportunity for motivated and team driven individuals who would like to contribute to the high performing team.

Working an 8:6, 7:7 roster FIFO Perth, these position report to the Drill and Blast Supervisor.; Duties include but are not limited too;
  • Operating open pit drill rigs
  • Operating service truck when required
  • Inspecting equipment to ensure the correct working order and safety requirements
  • Ensuring all Rio Tinto Health and Safety Standards, policies and procedures are being adhered to

What you'll bring
  • An Australian manual C Class driver's licence
  • Open pit drilling experience particularly with Atlas Copco PV275, Reedrill SK-F, and Sandvik drills
  • Experience operating service trucks, small water carts and small loaders (desirable)
  • A positive can-do team-oriented attitude
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as a collaborative team member
  • Ability to work effectively and safely under minimal supervision
