An exciting opportunity to join WesTrac as a Sales Support Data Specialist.

The Sales Support Data Specialist is an exciting and newly developed role that provides expertise in data analysis and reporting, whilst working to develop process change to improve Sales Support quoting, contract review, invoicing and data management.

This role is a key support to driving process and system improvements by analysing data, processes and researching best practice as we seek to improve the velocity, accuracy and flexibility of all elements of the sales support processes.

Role Accountabilities
  • Support data maintenance activities to ensure Sales Support databases are current and accurate.
  • Create custom-designed queries and codes to manipulate information and support key Sales functions.
  • Develop and create new reports and applications which support effective management of key Sales Support areas and report on key performance indicators.
  • Identify quality issues with key data sources, performing tests to identify ways to solve database usage concerns and malfunctions and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications
  • Tertiary Degree in a Business or Commercial discipline coupled significant experience within a Support role within a similar industry

Experience and Knowledge
  • Significant expereience in a similar role
  • Experience in writing new code, developing and publishing with business intelligence/analytics tools (e.g. Visual Basic, SQL, Microsoft Office products including Power BI Application suite)
  • Knowledge of data modelling
  • Ability to handle complex data transformation
  • Highly developed attention to detail with the ability to analyse reports and apply high levels of commercial skill
  • Natural curiosity for driving operational excellence and previous exposure and evidence of successful change initiatives
  • Experience with business intelligence/analytics tool (e.g. Power BI) and knowledge of data modelling
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
  • Ability to present analytics and insights in a way that drives outcomes and change in the business.
