PLANT MECHANIC – General Workshop Tomago
About the role
WesTrac NSW is continuing on a growth trajectory and we are looking to expand our current crews based in our Tomago Re-builds and New Machine Build workshops.
Our workshop services some of the states biggest mining customers and is responsible for complete machine build and rebuilds, ensuring Caterpillar service and quality standards are maintained. That's where you come in.
As a trade qualified mobile plant or heavy vehicle mechanic, You will have a strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment.

About the role

Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
- Dedicated to maintaining and promoting safe work practices
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment is highly desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role with mechanical aptitude is highly desirable
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
- Current MR Licence
- Experience with electrical repairs and fit outs is highly desirable
