Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Perth.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Be a leader for our procurement function on major projects
  • Be responsible for drafting/coordinating/compiling materials management and contracts management strategies and plans as well as the Procurement section of the Project Execution Plans
  • Be responsible for the entire project procurement lifecycle from the procurement package definition stage to the closeout stage on your assigned project
  • Provide supervision, training and assistance to procurement team members across contracting, purchasing, expediting, vendor quality surveillance, logistics and site materials control disciplines; promote and maintain a healthy and harmonious work environment
  • Where required, perform site visits to oversee the procurement/commercial activities or resolve issues arising on the projects; maintaining a presence both on site and in home/execution office. In specific cases, a Site Procurement Manager may be based at site during the construction phase.
  • Be a direct point of contact with clients as required to support project delivery on major projects.


You bring to the role:

  • Engineering or Business degree and extensive experience in domestic and international procurement and contract management activities.
  • Extensive experience in an Major project delivery environment
  • Related training in Contracts/Legal as well as general project and management related training
  • Experience with drafting of commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes which include both materials and contracts
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality systems, environmental, health and safety regulations
  • Experience in dispute resolution techniques and their applications
  • Experience in the administration of construction/service contracts and major equipment purchase orders.
