Our client is seeking a Project Engineer experienced with open pit mining to assist in managing mining operations, including project development, start-up procedures and milestones. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mining or Civil Engineer with solid project and construction knowledge to join an outstanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and oversee project start up procedures, including filing, billing and cost management systems
• Create and maintain project schedules, milestones and deadlines
• Ensure any relevant documentation, drawings and logs are complete and accurate
• Assist with sub-contract and vendor management

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role in the mining industry
• A degree in Mining Engineering or a relevant field
• Extensive experience in construction, project set-up and close-out procedures
• Strong computer knowledge with solid analytical and communication skills
