The Mine Engineer with direction and supervision, will provide support to the Technical Services Department in the areas of drilling and blasting, planning, pit operations, dump development and leach pad stacking.

The candidate will need to be safety minded with a strong drive to advance the development and support of mining operations.

•Maintain the truck/shovel management system including diagnosis and resolution of software and hardware issues

•Develop reports for production and equipment performance analysis

•Prepare daily production reports

•Prepare month-end production reconciliation reports

•Develop road and dump designs

•Carry out equipment trade off studies

•Follows company and legislated company rules and procedures

•Contributes to the department's health and safety goals and objectives

•Communicates safety concerns to the Technical Superintendent and/or takes corrective action

•Follows company and legislated environmental rules and procedures

•Contributes to the department's environmental goals and objectives

•Ability to develop reports for productions etc.

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment

•Ability to operate mining software such as MinePlan, Vulcan, Micromine, Surpac, etc.

•Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel & MS Project)

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment

•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

•2-3 years' experience in mining or related field preferred

•Effectively communicates through oral and written forms

•Communication skills that across departments and companies

•While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stair and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.

•May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday;

•The work is in an outdoor mine setting which requires hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required by law.

•This work is in a mine and plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.

•Personal protective equipment is required when performing this position.

•Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver's license
