Globe 24-7 in partnership with Newcrest Mining, is working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their Mining Team at their Lihir Gold Operations (LGO).

The Role:

We are seeking for a Primary Teacher at Lihir International School / School to Mine. This role will prepare and teach subjects relating to the Australian Curriculum that will result in students achieving or exceeding Australian standards of education and prepare Lihirian students for work in the business.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Education is ESSENTIAL.

• Teacher Registration is ESSENTIAL..

• 5 years relevant work experience in teaching Prep to Level 2 is ESSENTIAL.

• Certificate in Frist Aid is DESIRABLE.

• Strong understanding of the Australian and PNG Curriculum is ADVANTAGEOUS.

• Experience in the teaching a variety of year levels from Primary to Adult learners in an International School is ADVANTAGEOUS.

• Previous experience working in a remote location in a developing country advantageous, but not essential.

• Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.

• Excellent verbal, written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.

Mobilisation Requirements:
  • Must be open to move to the Lihir, PNG as this is a Residential role.
  • Ability to provide/obtain valid police clearance
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
