The Role

We are seeking for a Technician - Electrical to join the Asset Management Team. This role will undertake the day-to-day electrical maintenance tasks to achieve consistently high standards of safety, availability, and reliability at the Processing Plant. The successful candidate is responsible in ensuring the optimum equipment availability and reliability by taking ownership of equipment and actioning any instrumentation maintenance requirements in a timely manner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Electrical Trade Certificate essential.
  • PNG Power Electrical Licence essential.
  • PNG Driver's Licence - Class 6 essential.
  • High voltage certification desirable.
  • Elevated work platform ticket desirable.
  • 3 - 5 years relevant work experience essential in heavy industry preferably within a mining environment; either through experience in a similar operation or through progression as an NML Trainee Operator.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in performing maintenance on electrical equipment according to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Highly knowledgeable in the PNG and Australian Electrical and Safety standards
  • Proficient in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously from time to time.
  • High attention to detail with good time management skills.
  • Strong active listening & interpersonal skills.


Mobilisation Requirements:
  • Must be open to work FIFO in PNG
  • Ability to provide/obtain valid police clearance
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
