About the role

As part of the Supply leadership team, this role will report to the EGM Supply and will be is responsible leading the continued development of the strategic sourcing and category management function partnering with stakeholders to drive commercial and operational efficiencies across the MRL Group.

In addition to your extensive track-record of success whilst leading hands-on direct procurement initiatives, you will provide inspirational leadership and motivational coaching to your team. You will have the clear ability to influence and build relationships in the MRL Group with this role leading a team that can provide key support to the business units during rapid growth of the organisation.

You will

• Provide effective leadership of immediate team, track and report key functional KPI's to improve business effectiveness and drive value
• Develop, implement and maintain Source to contract processes and procedures
• Define sourcing and category management objectives
• Drive best practice sourcing and strive for continuous improvements and long term value increase
• Establish major supply agreements utilising best practice strategic sourcing principles to ensure the organisation leverages its overall purchasing power
• Develop skills and abilities of direct and indirect reports through ongoing performance measurement and feedback.

What you'll bring to the team

• Tertiary qualification in a business, management, legal, commercial discipline
• 12+ Years minimum working in Supply / Procurement roles
• Minimum 5 years of experience of managing Procurement teams
• Experience with reputable procurement system solutions, such as SAP Ariba, Oracle or Coupa, amongst others.
• Strong track record across general S2P process management and improvement
