The Hatch Nuclear Business Unit functionsfollow rigorousQuality Assurance (QA) requirements set by the Nuclear industry. It is important for Hatch to meet these requirements while maintaining our ability to operate efficiently and continuously. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for aJuniorQA Specialist to join the Nuclear team

Key responsibilities:
  • Evaluate/assessclient requirementsand recommend QA strategies for project implementation of nuclear work in consultation with theDirector,Nuclear QA.
  • Under the guidance and direction of Director, Nuclear QA, d evelop and maintainprogram/project documentation, as necessary for implementation in compliance with applicable Codes and Standards includingCSA N286-12, CSAN299.1etc
  • Provide QA support to projects as requiredincluding development of Project Quality Plan,on-boarding, andpreparingmonthly QA reports as requiredetc.
  • Assist in thedevelopment andmaintenance of Hatch’s Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS) documentation;preparing revisions to procedures/forms when updates are required
  • Assist in i dentify ing , initiat ing , and report ing non-conformances, analyze causes andproposepreventative and corrective measures
  • Assist with the preparation of apparent cause analysis in accordance with Hatch procedures
  • Assist in conducting internal audits,supplier audits,self-assessments, and evaluations to ensure compliance with Hatch quality practices

Requirements:
  • Minimum College Diploma/Certificate in Quality management or business administration
  • 1-2 years' experience in the field of QA
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • WorkingKnowledge ofCanadian, InternationalQA Standards,CSA N286-12, CSA N299 series,ISO9001 Quality Management Systemsis an asset
  • Must be able to obtain and maintainsecurity clearance,insupport of the client requirements inCanada and/orUSA,as appropriate
