Job description

About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our client in their Perth Office. A great opportunity to champion business improvement initiatives to optimise project delivery activities, create efficiencies and reduce cost where appropriate. The position is a Monday to Friday roster based in Perth with occasional site travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor cost control activities through all phases of project lifecycle
  • Issuing project change orders / variations
  • Champion cost savings initiatives and track delivered savings
  • Liaise with Project Engineers and Supervisors to develop project budgets
  • Presenting cost analysis to internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Develop project procurement plans

Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary Engineering Qualification or significant work experience in a related field
  • Previous experience working in a mining/project construction environment
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling large capital project portfolios
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • High Attention to Detail
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP and Ariba experience
  • Current Australian 'C' class driver licence
  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
