About the role

We are looking for a Senior Advisor IT Service Management Training & Adoption to be responsible for the creating and implementing change implementation strategies that maximise end-user adoption / usage and minimise any potential resistance. This role will embed a 'frictionless' adoption of changes to process/ system/ technology implemented by IS&T. It is responsible for identifying, planning and facilitating the delivery of programs that assist with the uplifting of organisational proficiencies or competencies required to enable a sustainable embedment of capabilities.

This role is a great opportunity to be part of our IS&T technology transformation and make the Rio Tinto Service desk a world class service management function using your IT and ITSM knowledge and experience.

Reporting to the Manager Service Experience, working in a collaborative and inclusive team within the Rio Tinto IS&T Operations team, you will:
  • In collaboration with IS&T Process and Service Owners, develop or apply a structured methodology to manage adoption activities required by a project or initiative
  • Creating actionable deliverables such as sponsor roadmap, communications plan, resistance management plan, training/ coaching plan
  • Assess change impacts by conducting impact analyses, identifying change readiness and key stakeholders
  • Support training efforts by planning, providing input, documenting requirements and facilitating the design/ delivery of training programs
  • Consult and coach stakeholders on completing change management assessments through to identifying, analysing and preparing risk migration tactics and/or managing change resistance;
  • Ensure training material is updated after new releases to reflect all changes, and identify any new training requirements
  • Implement best practice framework, procedure and systems for adoption of process/ system / technology changes implemented by IS&T to ensure benefit realisation, value creation and achievement of broader IS&T strategic outcomes
  • Measure and report to management key performance indicators to ensure compliance to methods and techniques

  • Familiar with IT Service Management approaches and ServiceNow
  • Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal and active listening
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate and tailor messages to suit stakeholders/ audiences
  • Ability to establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • A solid understanding of people change and process
  • Meticulous organisation skills for planning strategies and tactics
