Position Description:

Ensure the efficient operation of all warehouse activities. Ensure the warehouse is well organized and functional and goods are safely and easily accessible. Ensure all activities are carried out in conformance with Williams Operating Corporation's policies and procedures including cultural, safety and environmental.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure warehouse housekeeping and all activities are carried out to a standard that is conducive to ensuring an injury free workplace.
  • Provide efficient and timely services to customers and interfacing departments to meet or exceed the needs of the business.
  • Work with the Inventory Analyst and Environment Department to ensure that correct procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials are established and closely monitored.
  • Ensure that all equipment and materials are unloaded, received, put away or delivered to work locations in a safe and timely manner without damage.
  • Manage the receipt of all deliveries ensuring that all equipment and material is physically checked.
  • Compare all incoming materials to shipping documents to determine any shortage, overage, damage or incorrect product.
  • Prepare and dispatch stock returns to suppliers as required.
  • Ensure all documentation for materials and equipment leaving the site is completed and approved and that all goods leaving the site are inspected and documented.
  • Organize inventory to ensure easy and safe accessibility.
  • Conduct inventory counts to verify the stock on hand
  • Check stock variances and provide reports to the Inventory Analyst.
  • Ensure all transactions are carefully documented and items accounted for.
  • Ensure that all warehouse records are maintained and well organized.
  • Maintain strong communications links and good working relationships with all customers and interfacing departments assisting others to meet the business objectives
  • Know and comply with the current Mining Safety and Health regulations and Loss Prevention procedures of Barrick
  • Demonstrate social awareness, commitment and compliance with Barrick's Social Responsibility Policy.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all Corporate information.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to all Corporate policies, procedures and guidelines. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 


Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Completion of Dangerous Goods course
  • Workplace Hazardous Material Information System training considered and asset
  • Warehouse Trade Training is considered an asset
  • Experience in warehousing, material handling and shipping including dangerous goods
  • Previous experience in operating warehouse equipment
  • Demonstrated skills in risk awareness, hazard identification and elimination
  • Familiar with computerized material management
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Sound judgment in resolving issues
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Understanding of the relationship between warehouse operations and successful business performance
