Superintendent HME Reliability

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

The key role of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Reliability Superintendent is to ensure the reliability team delivers quality and timely reliability improvements to the respective HME fleets. In addition, this professional will ensure effective engagement and communication is maintained with site through active leadership, direction & mentoring to the HME Reliability team across FMG mine sites and head office.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Lead Reliability and Asset Management Engineers across all FMG mine sites and Head Office
  • Accountable for Reliability processes for specific HME fleets: RCA, Defect Elimination and Asset Strategy Management
  • Drive the development and implementation of HME reliability improvement initiatives across FMG sites
  • Provide technical and engineering support for the onsite Mobile Maintenance & Mining departments.
  • Promote HME Reliability cross site learnings and best practices implementation
  • Investigate latest technology and reliability project opportunities for FMG HME fleet
  • OEM engagement and continuous product improvement management
  • Lead the HME proactive maintenance strategy development and optimization utilizing engineering tools such as Weibull Analysis and LCC
  • Nurture employee high performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Minimum 5 years mining experience in a heavy mobile equipment maintenance environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience as supervisor or relevant role
  • Tertiary Engineering Qualification is essential
  • Post Graduate studies in areas such as Reliability and Asset Management - desirable
  • Completed courses/trainings in key reliability subjects; RCA, RCM, LCC - desirable
