Reporting to the Trade Development Manager, the Lead Trainer, Simulated Work Environment is accountable for the supervision of Simulated Work Environment Trainers and their delivery of training, coaching and mentoring to participants. The Lead Trainer SWE will also be accountable for the supervision on fourth year apprentices. The Lead Trainer will provide direct leadership and guidance to all fourth-year apprentices and SWE trainers, managing the people management and administration function requirements

This is a full-time permanent position based at our WA head office in South Guildford.

To be successful the following is required:

Education/Certificates
  • Trade qualification in the areas or Mobile Plant Technology and or Automotive Electrical Technology
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment or TAE40110, coupled with TAEASS502 and TAELLN411

Experience and Knowledge
  • Leadership/people management experience with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate teams
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to maintain successful relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including negotiation and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines
  • Minimum of 3 years people management experience in a training environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment and manage multiple priorities to meet objectives
