We are looking for Supervisors within Mobile Equipment Maintenance to lead, mentor, coach and develop a team of maintenance personnel within our Mobile Equipment Maintenance field and workshop.

This is a great opportunity for an engaging leader who is seeking a challenging work environment, where you will be working with a great team to maintain multiple types of mobile equipment.

Reporting to the Superintendent MEM and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance department, you will:
  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes
  • Provide safety and technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to your team of trade and non-trade personnel, understanding their strengths in work to ensure that safety is first and that the correct work is completed
  • Complete daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
  • Allocating and coordinating planned maintenance activities using the Rio Tinto workflow management principles
  • Prioritising and managing breakdowns with the mine production team
  • Drive continuous improvement projects which include cost saving and production efficiency projects

What you'll bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members
  • Relevant trade qualification or Engineering degree (electrical or mechanical)
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the suite of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of SAP system for maintenance
  • Exposure/experience working within an AHS worksite (desirable)
  • Experience working with Komatsu and Hitachi equipment (desirable)
  • A current Australian driver's license

The expansion of operations at WTS2 has created opportunities for Mobile Equipment Maintenance Leaders within the Greater Tom Price network. These opportunities will be offered on a fly in, fly out basis (ex Perth airport)

The successful candidate will be required to reside in the Pannawonica township.

This role is for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia. Rio Tinto offers Fly in and fly out options from Perth, our regional FIFO hubs and the opportunity to live in our residential towns where applicable.
