Senior Mining Engineer - Planning

An innovative and ambitious operator is currently looking to further add to their leadership by hiring a Senior Mining Engineer - Planning to their team. As one of the more senior individuals of the mining team in this operation you will be responsible for leading certain aspects of the mining team, supporting the technical department and mentoring of the up-an-coming, but hungry-to-learn juniors.

With COVID restrictions in place, the company have opted to run purely with residential workers and therefore the company will supply very subsidised housing costs to the successful incumbent and their family. This means that FIFO applicants will not be considered. The ideal individual will be a good communicator, not afraid to share ideas but back themselves when implementing a new strategy or suggesting a new way of doing things. Furthermore, the company would ideally like;

• Extensive background as a Mining Engineer (Degree Qualified)
• At least 5 years' experience (as much as 7 years preferably)
• Majority of these years in an underground metalliferous operation.
• Experience working in both a planning and production role will be ideal (will take applicants with just production experience).
• Skills with Vulcan and Studio UG software will be highly regarded (if without - onsite training will be available as required.)
