We are looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our Dampier Salt, Dampier Operation to lead efficient and effective administrative support across the site.

This is a great opportunity for high performing individual to provide accurate and responsive support to a diverse range of stakeholders gaining exposure to multiple departments whilst juggling conflicting deadlines.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:
  • Develop and distribute key communications to internal employees;
  • High level support to the Operations Manager on day to day basis;
  • Project manage events such as site visits, family day, community events and service awards;
  • Coordination of community investment fund;
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve systems and processes;
  • Provide support during any business resilience team (BRT) scenario;
  • SAP and purchasing related functions including creation of purchase requisitions;
  • Undertake training to increase skills and knowledge relevant to the execution of your role.

Where you will be working

As part of the wider Rio Tinto Iron Ore Operations, Dampier Salt has three operations located at Dampier, Port Hedland and Lake MacLeod and is head quartered in Perth. Through a sustainable process of solar evaporation of sea water we reliably deliver high quality salt essential for making thousands of products used in everyday life. Gypsum is additionally mined and processed at our Lake MacLeod Operation.
