Mandatory Requirements for this position:

Responsabilités associées au poste
Includes but not limited to:
- Data presentation/collation for morning meetings.
- Co-ordination with Load and Haul/Drill and Blast on daily plan actions.
- Presentation of Daily and Weekly Mine Plan.
- Data collection and analysis to inform KPI targets.
- Use of Geovia Surpac for mine design work.
- Use of Geovia Minesched for Weekly Mine Plan scheduling.
- Use of Haulsim for haul route optimization.
Comply with all Kinross Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Review recent incidents and safety concerns with your Supervisor to determine best subject matter for the Daily Toolbox meeting.
- 4 Safewatch every month
Daily Planning
- Pit tours with operations to inform plan/monitor progress.
- Updating of bench plans/sequence and presentations.
- Update and monitoring of dumping/stockpiling locations.
- Updating management on developing issues.
- Co-ordinate with Survey team on set-out requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting on any ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with Geology/Geotechnical to ensure that the plan meets their requirements.
Weekly Planning
- Coordinating with load haul drill and blast on planning parameters to be used in the weekly planning process.
- Co-ordination with Mine Engineer and above to ensure that the weekly plan aligns with the medium range plan.
- Coordinate with Geology/Geotechnical to ensure that the plan meets their requirements.
- Coordinating with processing department on their assumptions.
Monthly Planning
- Coordinating with load haul drill and blast on planning parameters to be used in the monthly planning process.
- Co-ordination with Mine Engineer and above to ensure that the monthly plan aligns with the budget/long range plan.
- Coordinate with Geology/Geotechnical to ensure that the plan meets their requirements.
- Coordinating with processing department on their assumptions.
Design Work
- Design of temporary ramps, ramp flares, truck access etc.
- Stockpile and dump design. o Bench design.
- Road design/traffic management design.

- Collection and presentation of planning parameters/proposed drill, blast and mining sequence.
- Creation and presentation of weekly mine plan to various operations departments.
- Presentation of Weekly Ore Movement plan.
Adequate handover with cross-shift.

Compétences & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related discipline.
- 1-3 years previous experience in open pit mining operation highly valued.
- Mauritanian Drivers License.
- Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to facilitate group meetings.
- Strong leadership and a company oriented outlook.
- Ability to enforce company policy and procedure.
- Willingness to make difficult decisions when circumstances require.
Desirable Skill, Knowledge, Training, and Experience:
- Ability to read, write and speak English, Arabic and French
- Experience in technical services/mining.
- Ability and desire to listen and continually improve both yourself and the business.
- High skill level with Microsoft Office packages (Excel/Powerpoint/Word etc.)
