ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is Australia's largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market, and the largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join our Production Processing team as a Processing Operator. You will have the opportunity to work towards obtaining a Certificate III in Coal Processing with further opportunities for development into training assessing, authorised isolating and supervising.
  • Monitor and control the operations of an open cut CHPP to safely deliver on product and optimise production, including overland and conveyor systems, raw product handling, stacker and reclaimer operations, tailings handling, plant operation, TLO and control room.
  • Work closely amongst a great team to proactively identify and rectify hazards and improvement opportunities in your work area.
  • Work closely with maintenance and process engineering to optimise plant performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You demonstrate an absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential.
  • You foster our positive culture with a focus on identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement through reduced costs through maximising recovery, minimising down time and eliminating waste;
  • Proven ability to work harmoniously as part of a team, independently and unsupervised, with an applied understanding of how you impact upon the achievement of team objectives.
  • You possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Trade Qualified with opportunity to develop in the role and obtain Cert III in Coal Processing or currently hold one or more of the following Coal Processing RII competencies listed per below.
  • Processing RIIs competencies listed per below.
  • Experience applying personal or multi-lock isolations is advantageous.
  • Minimum 6 months demonstrated mining experience with Scenario (skills list) verified by an SSE or delegate.
