Position summary
The BSC teams at Downer Group are responsible for payroll, purchase to pay, accounts receivable, travel and expense management. The delivery of these services is enabled by the combined efforts of BSC's solution advisory, solution training and systems accounting teams, together with change management, finance and human resources specialists.

The BSC payroll function has over 105 staff operating out of North Ryde NSW and Melbourne Vic and is responsible for paying over 50,000 employees using SAP and Oracle Express HR with over 200 EBAs.
THE ROLE

An exciting 12 Month Fixed Term position has become available for a Payroll Systems Test Analyst. Reporting to the Payroll Lead Systems Analyst you will be responsible for:
  • Proactively work with the EA Build team, Payroll Reporting team and BAU teams to plan and prioritise workload. Includes regular review of EBA register.
  • Working with a team of test specialists to deliver high quality tests of system configuration changes. Guide staff development.
  • Liaising with business stakeholders to develop test cases and sign off UAT.
  • Conducting testing, record defects and manage to resolution.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of automated testing and environment tools.
  • Working with Project testing teams and create test execution and acceptance plans.
  • Creating test summary reports and report defects in line with management practices.
ABOUT YOU
  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology (B Computer Science)
  • 2+ years' experience in IT test methodologies and processes
  • Advanced Excel (Essential)
  • Payroll systems and Payroll process experience preferred
  • Experience with testing tools
  • Experience with Oracle Legacy/Express HR, Kronos and SAP or similar large ERP Payroll systems preferred
