Role Details

Gold Fields Australia is currently accepting Expressions of Interest for Vacation Students who are currently studying Engineering (Geotechnical or Mining) for a 3-month Fixed Term Contract over the November/December University break.

These roles are offered as Fly in Fly out opportunities or Residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.

Throughout your time-on-site, you will have access to highly experienced and knowledgeable technical professionals who will expose you to various aspects of our diverse mining environment. We will assist you with building highly sought-after skills to gain confidence with your experience in a safe, challenging, and rewarding working environment.

Key factors to your success include:

• Current C Class WA license
• Currently in the 2nd Year onwards of a relevant discipline
• Exposure and/ or Experience in a Mining environment would be highly regarded
• Prior work experience of 12-hour shifts would be advantageous to your application
• Prior work experience using safety procedures would be essential/beneficial
• Familiarity with working in remote locations under extreme weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions, pick up new tasks/software systems and work in a team environment
