Position summary
POSITION SUMMARY

NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver over $1.2 billion of works as part of METRONET.

Across two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link), the Alliance will add 32 kilometres of track to Perth's rail network, 5 new stations and 3 station modifications as well as 14 kilometres of principal shared path.

Together the projects are set to create 3000 jobs and once operational will give residents of the northern and southern suburbs greater access to employment and training, entertainment and recreation hubs.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our NEWest Alliance team. This position is responsible for the coordination of materials, equipment and tool supply, project support as required, the upkeep and safety of the Canning Vale NEWest factory space and oversite of all materials and manufacturing that takes place within.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • Extensive experience in the building of rail infrastructure and the required operation of a manufacturing factory space.
  • High level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiation and marketing skills.
  • Well-developed analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Systems.
  • Understanding of relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and legislation as applied to the civil construction industry.
  • Understanding of business cost structures facilitating the ability to provide tender information for factory related works and blue collar labour external engagement.
  • Initiative, motivated & self-driven.
  • Relationship builder who can communicate at all levels.
  • Team Focused.
  • Communicates honestly, openly and consistently.
  • Able to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense.
