As a result of our continued growth, we are currently seeking an Administrative Coordinator (1-year term) to assist our professional staff of Engineers and Scientists in our Cranbrook office (30 hours per week).

How will you contribute to the team?
  • Perform general office duties, including receiving, directing, preparing, distributing and signing for incoming and outgoing courier packages, opening and date stamping all general correspondence. 
  • Ensure requests for action or information are relayed to the appropriate person.
  • Manage local office requirement including ordering office and kitchen supplies and raising IT requests and working with IT to resolve office computer fax, photocopier, cell phone and regular phone issues. 
  • Process documentation as part of a document services group (e.g. formatting letters and other documents). Confirm documents are consistent with internal preferred procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain highly confidential records and preparing related reports; composing and editing correspondence and other documents organizing material for and preparation of presentations, expressions of interest, client envelopes, etc.
  • Extract and compile a variety of engineering data from such sources as field notes, manuals, processing data and presenting data.
  • Perform complex data manipulation.
  • Update Project Budgets and Forecasting .
  • Prepare purchase requests.


What will you contribute?
  • Post-Secondary office administration courses or training with a minimum 2 years office experience.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (2007).
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Previous administrative work experience in a professional environment, ideally in consulting engineering is desirable.  
  • Willingness to learn new skills and provide administrative support in a number of capacities.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced consulting environment encompassing frequent interruptions and deadlines.
  • Team player with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when appropriate.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Database knowledge would be an asset.
