About this role

What will you be responsible for?
This role is responsible for managing core programmatic activities and other strategic projects for the corporate Business Integrity & Compliance program, including the day-to-day management of various elements of the program such as the global Integrity Helpline and related investigations, the conflict of interest disclosure process, the gift registry process, the online training program, data reporting and the preparation of presentations for the Executive Leadership Team and the Audit Committee. This role has frequent contact with all levels of employees globally in a wide variety of roles. The role requires strong interpersonal and program management skills, compliance systems knowledge, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong critical and creative thinking about the inter-relationship and successful completion of various program elements and good judgment to determine appropriate timing of tasks to achieve critical outcomes.

In this role you will

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
  • We manage the Integrity Helpline, including but not limited to triage, notification/critical issue protocols, follow-up, closure and ensuring completion of documentation and outcomes for investigations.
  • We build BI&C program governance reports including Helpline metrics for periodic reporting to the Audit Committee and other executives and partners. This task requires both system-generated reports and reports with ad hoc content depending on the audience.
  • We develop online and in-person training and outreach materials for the BI&C program and coordination and support of training and communications activities globally (including administration of the LMS training platform and reporting).
  • We manage BI&C programmatic activities through sophisticated calendaring and tracking and establish deadlines for associated tasks.
  • We handle the Conflicts of Interest Disclosure Platform, including the launch of campaigns, assignments by region, follow-up, accurate blocking issue and resolution of conflict matters.
  • We conduct Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption screenings for third parties engaging with the company.
  • We lead Gift Registry process, including assignment and accurate completion of approval workflows.
  • We run and maintain internal BI&C web page and external information for BI&C.
  • We coordinate with various departments for the collection of internal compliance data for internal or external reporting and for audits..
  • We maintain all BI&C records in accordance with company records retention requirements.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Here is what we would need to see from you!
Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Completion of other focused training in relevant subject matter.
  • Understanding of relevant legal/compliance issues and effective operation of compliance programs.
  • Strong compliance systems knowledge and experience - Third Party Due Diligence platforms, Helpline and Case Management tools, COI disclosure platforms, etc.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate setting.
  • Mining, construction, utilities or other heavy industry experience is preferred.
  • Second language is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather, combine and reconcile data from various sources and strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills, including experience with project management software.
  • Experience with website administration.


Working conditions and location

Where you will be located!
  • The position is located in the Denver corporate office or at a Newmont office near one of our major mine operations.
  • Position may require limited travel.


The salary range offered for this role is $ 36.39 to 47.75 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
