Are you a senior accounting professional with experience in the Mining or Engineering industries who is looking for a new leadership role with a developing organization? Our client, an experienced developer and operator of Uranium deposits is hiring a Controller for their corporate office in Toronto. Our client, an experienced junior mining company in the process of developing a world class Uranium deposit is hiring a Controller for their corporate office in Toronto. They are looking for an experienced accountant who can work independently on the following areas. The candidate can also be based in Montreal, however they would be required to travel to Toronto several times per month.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidations of local and foreign currencies and transactions (7 companies)
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports;
  • Update budgets and cash forecasts;
  • Assist with an ERP implementation (SAP By Design);
  • Assist with internal controls assessment and audit reviews;
  • Oversee the company bookkeeper.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience in progressive corporate or operations financial experience, with IFRS knowledge and Forex experience;
  • French language proficiency is an asset but not required;
  • Experience with Quickbooks and SAP, or similar accounting software;
  • Experience leading with or supporting ERP implementation is an asset but not required;
  • Experience in the mining industry is ideal but not required;
  • A CA or CGA designation are assets as well.
