Globe 24-7 in partnership with Newcrest Mining, is working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their Mining Team at their Lihir Gold Operations (LGO).

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking Advisor - Health & Hygiene to assist the Occupational Health & Hygiene Senior Advisor & Occupational Health and Hygiene Superintendent for the provision of an Occupational Hygiene monitoring function across site and to assist with the development and implementation of all Occupational Hygiene standards and codes of practice.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE
  • A Degree in Environmental Health Management or equivalent Health Science Degree from a recognized institution (ESSENTIAL)
  • Occupational Health and Hygiene Specialist (ESSENTIAL)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Occupational Hygiene practitioner or similar (ESSENTIAL)

>Experience in Health Risk Assessment. (ESSENTIAL)

>Experience in monitoring Physical, Biological and Chemistry exposure. (ESSENTIAL)

>Experience in Entry, Data Analysis, Reporting. (ESSENTIAL)

>Experience in monitoring, managing equipments for calibration. (ESSENTIAL)
  • Ability to work alone with strong assertive and confident character. Preferably outspoken and a team player (ESSENTIAL)
  • Knowledge of Safety, Heath & Hygiene and bit of Chemistry and biology background (DESIRABLE)
  • Management and Quality Assurance System (DESIRABLE)
  • Experience in investigating occupational illness (DESIRABLE)
  • Experience in conducting Hygiene monitoring and use and calibration of Hygiene Equipments (DESIRABLE)
  • Ability to prioritise and schedule work
  • Experience with data management and software


MOBILISATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be open to work in Lihir as a National FIFO, with 20/22 Roster.
  • Ability to provide/obtain valid police clearance.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
