The Opportunity: Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for experienced Shotcrete Operator to join our team at the Red Chris Mine, in northern British Columbia.

Working a rotation of 14-shifts on / 14-shifts off, this position is fly-in, fly-out from various collection points within British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for their safety and the safety of their co-workers in the development of the decline while efficiently operating the shotcrete sprayer, among other duties as required.

More specifically, our Shotcrete Operators will:

• Comply with all safety and standard operating procedures
• Experience in use of mechanized shotcrete machines, Maclean, Normet or Putzmeister
• Experience in Batch plant operation or batching
• Operate mobile mixers
• Physical labour required for the set-up and tear-down of shotcrete equipment in accordance with client and company standards
• Inspect and maintain shotcrete machine, nozzle(s) and hoses
• Performs other related work as assigned for underground development mining
• Read ground support instructions, comply with QA/QC requirements, shoot test panels as required

Skills and Experience:

• Commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
• Minimum high school diploma
• Minimum 3 years underground mining experience
• Minimum 1 years' experience specific to mechanized shotcreting
• Able to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while still being a contributing member of a team
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
