OPF Operations Superintendent - Iron Bridge
Location: Iron Bridge
Roster: 8d6r (Initial ~12 month secondment in Perth)
Fortescue are currently seeking an OPF Operations Superintendent to work at our Iron Bridge Operations in the Processing department. This position will suit a candidate with significant experience within a high volume and / or complex processing plant environment. During Pre-commissioning, this role will work with the Iron Bridge Operational Readiness team in preparation for Operations.

This position will suit a candidate with significant experience within a high volume and / or complex processing plant environment. Operational Readiness Accountabilities will include:
- Review current operational readiness strategies and develop detailed plans for implementation (resources, schedules and budgets)
- Implement assigned operational readiness tasks and activities
- Recruit and develop operational teams where required
- Support construction completions and commissioning as required
Operational Key Accountabilities will include:
- Being a safety leader, actively engaging with personnel to drive a Zero Harm culture
- Ensuring all OPF operations and activities are performed in line with Fortescue health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Safely deliver concentrate volume and quality commitments as per the monthly plan and weekly/daily operating plans provided by the Processing and Operations Planning teams
- Planning and directing activities in the process plant and ensuring operational costs are managed and efficient
- Ensure effective prioritization of maintenance resources and all other plant operations activities to maintain plant availability and performance
- Develop, implement, and monitor the permit to work system
- Personnel management, including ensuring training & competencies are up to date, succession planning, retention and career progression and recruitment of permanent and temporary staff
- Identification of issues in the OPF and driving continuous improvement by leading Root Cause Analysis investigation
Qualifications and skills required:
- 5-10 years' experience in ore processing operational roles in a high volume and / or complex processing plant environment
- 3 or more years' experience leading technical and/or operational teams
- C-class driver's license
- Working knowledge of processing equipment, including crushers, high pressure grinding rolls, low intensity magnetic separation, classifiers, fine grinding mills and thickeners
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
