Our Cadia site is located in Central West New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional town of Orange and three hours' drive from Sydney. Employees reside in the varied accommodation options in Orange, with the surrounding winery and national park areas to enjoy. Who are we looking for

We are seeking a motivated Ore Processing Trainer to join our Ore Processing Production department. Reporting to the Senior Production Advisor, this multifaceted role will see you provide, maintain and improve employee's competency levels through the support and delivery of compliance, and proficiency-based training and assessments.

Joining one of Australia's largest gold mining operations, you will bring value to the business by upskilling employees, instigating quality training and learning, influencing stakeholders and assisting with succession planning as needed.

Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to:
  • Contribute to the department's Induction, on boarding training and assessment processes including carrying out area familiarisations to personnel entering the Ore Processing plant
  • Ensure that training systems and processes are maintained in accordance with the training standard and procedure through thorough analysis and review (CDMS)
  • Work back-to-back with counterpart, providing standardisation and consistency across crews supporting Supervisors to adhere to the training and assessment plan for technicians
  • Provide coaching and ongoing support to team On Job Trainers, ensuring that the required standards are maintained
  • Ensure compliance to, update and record current standard work procedures and instructions

As the ideal candidate, you will be flexible, detail-oriented and have the drive to deliver consistent results. Your excellent time management and scheduling skills will see you adapt to changes quickly and work through conflicting priorities. You will appreciate working as part of a team and will exhibit genuine cooperation with other support functions and departments to achieve effective working relationships.

While previous experience in a similar role within mining is highly regarded, we are open to candidates who are current Leading Hands or Supervisors within ore processing and are seeking a new challenge.

In addition, you will also have:
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Ore Processing, technical systems, support mobile equipment and the ability to train & assess this content in a professional manner
  • Ability to effectively coach to improve performance and upskill
  • Ability to review current training materials and documents such as SWI/SWP's, learner guides, theory and practical assessments and check relevancy with current plant and standards
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and other online learning management systems
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessing desirable

Please note: This is a permanent fulltime role based in Orange, NSW and will work on 7 Days On/ 7 Off roster.
