Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Document Controller for our Mining & Minerals office in Bryanston
Main Purpose of the Role:
- Project team management, including timecard approving
- Creating a Project Document Management Plan
- Implementing a Project Document Management Plan
- Project site and documentation audits
- Weekly project reporting
- Client interfacing
- Attending Project progress - vendor kick-off- and client interface meetings.
- Work on either a single major project and / or provide planning support to several smaller projects and studies to compile and coordinate the smooth running of the company projects' and studies' applied company document management system and Sharepoint document systems, in support of the relevant project/study managers.
- Work in a manner that supports and enhances the company of:

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Projects and Studies - includes the relevant duties below as agreed per project and / or study:
- Follow all company work procedures and practices.
- Wherever possible, suggest areas of improvement and the implementation thereof to company and project management.
- Register and transmit internal, vendor and client documentation for the project or study.
- Check documentation to ensure that formats are to company standards.
- Draw document control reports (if available and required) from the applied company or project document control system.
- Maintain a document register.
- Print and copy drawings and documents as directed.
- General filing.
- Archiving of electronic and hardcopy documentation relevant to the project / study.
- Detailed Convero knowledge
- Detailed SharePoint user knowledge
- Fully computer literate with respect to Microsoft Office software
- Communication and teamwork
- Distribution of all company documents within 1 working day of receipt.
- Distribution of all vendor documents within 2 working days of receipt
Skills / Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification
- Matric
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- A minimum of 10-years' experience on projects
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of SharePoint
- Knowledge of Convero
- Knowledge of Adobe
- Experience of working and managing at least 2 different Electronic Document Management Systems
- Communication skills - both written and verbal
- Reporting skills
- Exposure to international projects
- Working knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK)
- EPC/EPCM experience in either a consulting or construction contractor environment
- Knowledge of Convero
