LEAD MECHANICAL ENGINEER – UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE

Our client is recognized globally for providing mechanical design expertise to a wide variety of commodities. Their capability spans through the entire project lifecycle comprising; scoping, conceptual design, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, detailed engineering, construction support and project management.

As lead Mechanical Engineer you will manage a team of engineers and designers responsible for the design, engineering, installations and commissioning of all mechanical equipment, services and systems associated with underground mining facilities. This will include shaft infrastructure, maintenance services, bulk materials handling machinery, dust capture, dewatering and service facilities etc.

Your degree in mechanical engineering should be combined with a minimum of 8 years underground experience, preferably soft rock, and solid planning/project engineering skills. If you can complement this with strong leadership qualities and a record of delivering on time and within budget, then this is an exceptional opportunity to manage a high-profile project and advance your career.
