Duties of the role:
- Coordinate, prepare and analyse the Agnew Gold Mine operating and capital budgets and forecasts
- Continuous improvement of the analytical reporting models and forecasting tools
- Support and train in cost control and commercial matters to key stakeholders across site
- Complete month end procedures and liaise between key stakeholders on and off site to meet Gold Fields reporting requirements, including operating and capital reporting, analysis of key cost drivers, presentation preparation and compliance with SOX controls, accounting policies and GAAP
- Provide technical advice to Authority for Expenditure (AFE) prepares and department managers in alignment with Gold Fields capital policies
About You:
You will have:
- Tertiary Qualifications - Degree in Accounting
- A CPA or CA Qualification would be highly regarded
- Strong experience in a financial role within a mining environment, previous supervisory experience would be highly desirable
- Experience in budgeting and financial modeling
- Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems - SAP is essential and Xeras budgeting experience would be advantageous
