Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Mine Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing support to the Mine Operations department in the areas assigned within his/her scope of responsibility while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.

*This is a temporary position and will end on or around March 4, 2022*

Job Responsibilities

1. Primary function entering weekly time sheets.
2. Scanning of documentation.
3. Maintain all personnel filing in a timely manner.
4. Update job descriptions and physical demands documents.
5. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
6. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
7. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
8. Works without risk or harm to self and others.
9. Punctuality and regular attendance required.
10. Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

1. Ability to establish priorities and maintain deadlines under multiple time pressures.
2. Ability to work accurately and efficiently with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
3. Flexibility in work schedule. May be required to stop in the middle of one project to work on something else, or assist an employee.
4. Strong knowledge of PC based systems is required, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel.
5. Previous office experience required.
6. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
8. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
9. Ability to work independently and also as a member of the team.
10. Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
11. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
12. Requires valid driver's license.
