Purpose

Support Penasquito leadership to manage the human talent of the organization

Responsibilities 1

Development of a Talent Management Strategy including analysis of and recommendation of changes to talent systems. Site wide administration of Performance Management, Talent Identification (9 Box), Development Planning, Succession planning (including mapping of critical positions) and Performance Improvement Planning systems.

Develop and execute strategies to mitigate risk related to critical positions to avoid actual and future operational disruptions related to lack of availability of talent. Support expats to build capacity and transfer knowledge across the site to assure the capacity of the site to operate according to the operation requirements.

Coordinate with corporate and the other sites to identify development opportunities and assign them to future leaders to build capacity across the company, retain and develop HiPos.

Responsibilities 2

Develop a pipeline and seeds programs to generate future capacity. Engage and support leaders to be accountable for driving high performing teams, and developing their people

Analysis and reporting of talent data. Recommend design for and management of talent-based initiatives and projects.

Support and execute programs to develop leadership and talent pipeline such as Frontline Leadership Program, Spot Awards, Empowerment Journey for SLT and other initiatives.

Support and execute already installed programs for Employees such as Scholarship Program and Languages Program.

Support, execute and promote Inclusion and Diversity Strategy with full participation in the I&D Committee action plan. Provide recommendations into people strategies and related policies.

Requirements

  • Recommendation of design, development, delivery and evaluation of talent development and management strategies / systems / initiatives.
  • Ability to develop site wide strategies for the management and development of talent
  • Design and development project management and deliver of organizational wide programs and initiatives
  • Collaborative and consultative approach with ability to work through others to achieve and deliver
  • Ability to develop measures and audits for diagnosis of organizational talent
  • Strategic outlook, exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish is essential


Experience

  • Development and management of talent (or similar) strategies including the administration of organizational wide HR (talent) systems
  • Successful delivery of site wide projects in large scale organisations
  • Engagement and influence of leaders across the organization including executives
  • Negotiation of completing priorities in a high-profile busy role
  • Preference for experience in mining or other resource / manufacturing organization
