UG Surveyor 2 or 3

Location Stillwater Mine

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan and execute surface and underground survey activities in a safe, efficient manner; prepare maps and records of surveys; line and grade for UG excavations; produce as-built drawings of excavations; measure excavation advances at determined intervals; maintain and manage control point and survey files, both electronic and hard copy; comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and company policies and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 1 to 2 years survey crew experience, preferably underground, AND/OR 1 year college education in survey related field with work experience on a survey crew.
• Familiar with Autocad, Excel and Word software programs.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently
• Ability to work effectively as a team or alone with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Understanding/compliance with Company safety policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Strong understanding of underground mining methods/terminology
• Experience using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Promine software
• Ability to calculate stope & development miners' incentive.
• Strong awareness and understanding of the day-to-day mine operations
• Experience with underground mining contract/incentive systems
