POSITION OVERVIEW
Florida Canyon is looking for an experience Mine Surveyor. The ideal candidate will focus on mine development and progression.

FLORIDA CANYON MINE

Florida Canyon is an open pit and heap leach gold recovery mining operation that has been operating continuously with sporadic periods of interrupted production since 1986. Florida Canyon is located approximately 45 miles southwest of Winnemucca, Nevada, adjacent to Interstate Highway 80.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Monitor mine operations and align daily tasks with the engineered mine plan

· Demonstrate proficiency in operating surveying equipment including but not limited to, Trimble data collectors and Trimble business center.

· Responsible for routine daily reporting of data for blast hole designs, mine bench development, and mine operations progress.

· Communicate daily with the Mine Operations Shift Supervisor

· Attend morning lineout meetings on the daily mine plan

· The ideal candidate will focus on mine development and progression.

· Other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three (3) years of Mining Survey experience preferred.

• Demonstrated a safe work a record required.

• Proficient computer skills

• Walk on uneven ground in all weather conditions required

• Lift minimum of fifty (50) lbs

• Periods of walking, bending and stooping

• Ability to drive and walk in inclement weather conditions required.

• Motivated self-starter required.

• Strong leadership / interpersonal skills

• Strong oral, verbal and written skills required

• Collaborate with multiple departments required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
