Position summary
Downer's Road Services business is one of the largest non-government owned road services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 36,000 km of road. Our business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.
We currently have a full-time opportunity to work in our Hume Asphalt Laboratory. As a Laboratory Foreperson you will be responsible for both leading a team of laboratory technicians in collecting samples and testing them as well as ensuring quality and standards are maintained for Asphalt and RMS specifications. This role would be well suited to someone with a strong leadership skills and high regard for safety, quality and flexibility.

ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an Asphalt laboratory or similar
- Knowledge of the NATA accreditation or be a signatory
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian standards for Asphalt or RMS specifications
- Knowledge of Asphalt Mix Designs
- Strong inter-personal and leadership skills with a positive attitude and ability to motivate others
- Ability to work night shift
- A strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture
