About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Asset Management to systematically improve the performance of assets and the asset management, through analyzing performance data and identifying initiatives to deliver greater value related to investments, costs and disposals. This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to lead asset management and improve the asset management processes. Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance and Services, you will be:
  • Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on equipment performance, operating practices and reliability to identify improvement opportunities (cost, reliability, capacity).
  • Facilitating the use of Predictive Maintenance (PDM), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
  • Determining the means to reduce production losses (reliability and availability) due to failures and breakdowns and to reduce asset maintenance cost and production losses.
  • Assessing and questioning the suitability of current equipment strategies, shutdown strategies and having maintenance strategies modified and changed where necessary.
  • Assessing evaluation of asset integrity and of related capital spending programs (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Assessing the residual service life and recommend strategies for refurbishing or replacing.
  • Ensuring a productive and safe workplace is maintained, complying with Rio Tinto and Statutory Safety requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree Mechanical or related discipline
  • 10+ years Industrial Experience Heavy industrial / processing environment.
  • Sound understanding of (PDM) Predictive Maintenance (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
  • Management experience
  • Excellent safety attitude and track record

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Computer literacy Microsoft Office, SAP
  • Ability to plan and complete work as planned.
  • Solid team member with good interpersonal skills
